Plan Your Visit
Groups
Parties of 8 or more (including children) require a reservation and a per person deposit based on whether you are planning
a seated group tasting (for 8-16 ppl) or bottles only (for 8-20 ppl). Your deposit will be applied as a credit during your visit.
Large parties will have an automatic gratuity of 18% added to their bill.
Groups are limited to a maximum of 20 persons for up to 2 hours to ensure we are able to accommodate all guests.
Smaller parties (less than 8) no longer require reservations unless arriving by bus or limo.
Casanel’s house policy is to ID everyone regardless of age, so please bring a proper state-issued ID for your visit.
Please complete a reservation form at least 48 hours prior to your desired date
to give us enough time to plan your visit.
Transportation / Parking
Limousines, buses, and other vehicles for hire must have a reservation, regardless of the size of vehicle or party. Please contact us to request a reservation.
Tours
Tours at Casanel Vineyards are available by appointment only. Tours cost $15 per person and we require a group minimum size of 6 persons. Tours include a walk thru of the vineyards and the winery (production facility space). They normally last about an hour and we encourage sturdy shoes!
Tours are for guests who are 21 or older.
Children
Children are permitted in the main Tasting Room. Our patio and green spaces are also available for families to enjoy.
When inside, we ask that parents follow restaurant rules and have children remain with them.
Also outside a parent must accompany the children at all times.
The back and side decks are ADULT ONLY (21+).
Pets
Friendly dogs are welcome on our main patio and picnic areas ONLY (not inside the Tasting Room or on the side decks).
Please keep your fur babies on a leash at all times and be sure to clean up after them.
Outside Food
Outside food and picnics are ONLY allowed on the decks, patio, and picnic areas.
Casanel provides an array of crackers, cheeses, and other snacks for those who wish to enjoy food with their wine inside the Tasting Room.
Outside Alcohol
The Virginia Department Of Alcoholic Beverage Control states that only wine produced at Casanel Vineyards and Winery is permitted on premises.
Any outside alcohol is prohibited and illegal. Violators of this law will be required to leave Casanel immediately.
Flights / Tastings
Our self-guided flights consist of 4 pre-selected wines, with an option of a white or red flight, 2 oz. pours of each.
Our tasting consists of 7 pre-selected wines (3 whites, 1 rosé, 3 reds), 1 oz. pours of each.
No substitutions will be permitted.
Vineyard Closing
Last call at Casanel is a half hour before posted closing time.
Casanel also may change the tasting room’s operating time due to private events. Please check upcoming events tab and social media for early closing times.
After last call, bottles may be purchased to take home, but no more alcohol will be served.
Casanel reverts back to private property and the DeSouzas’ home when the tasting room closes.
