The Rotary Club of Dulles International Airport presents its 8th Annual Wine and Crime Dinner, featuring an exciting new format! Guests will work in small teams to solve the mystery murder of "Who Killed Auntie Agatha?" — and our club members are the suspects! 

Indulge in an elevated dining experience paired with fine wines from Casanel, all while raising funds for two important causes supported by the Dulles Airport Rotary Club. The camaraderie, fun, and mystery will make for an unforgettable night!

Saturday, May 3rd is the Kentucky Derby, and we would love to have a Casanel Wine Club viewing party! Feel free to come in your best Derby hats and southern charm. The race starts at 6PM, but we recommend arriving before!

After we watch the race, we want you to be judges! Casanel will be curating 3 flights of 3 different wines featuring Virginia Governor Cup Winners. You be the Judge and tell us what you think about these wines. Can you find the Casanel wine in the flight?

We will be open late for the evening, with the TAtú Kitchen food truck arriving at 2:00. They are “DMV’s Best Latin Bites!”

Important Details:

• Because wine will be purchased from other wineries for this specific SIP, RSVPs are a MUST. Please email Victoria if you can join us. The last date for RSVPs is Monday, April 28th.

• There will be a small fee for this specific SIP to cover wine purchase expenses. Casanel club is $10 per person; guests are $25 per person, and seats are subject to availability.

The Dowager Lady Worthington is having a dinner party, and all the unmarried young ladies of the “ton” are in invited. They all hope to catch the Duke’s eye, and they won’t let a little thing like the murder get in the way. But what of the cryptic messages left by the gossip monger Lady Thistledown? Scandal after scandal is revealed as the list of suspects grows ever longer. Can anyone weather Lady Thistledown’s Poisoned Quill?

Join Sip & ScriptⓇ for Modern Calligraphy Fun!

Join us at Casanel Vineyards & Winery in Leesburg, VA for pretty lettering! Whether you’re a stationery nerd, DIY Bride-to-be, or just a crafty individual, you’ll be introduced to modern calligraphy with a pointed dip pen and ink in this workshop. We will cover all the basics and prepare you to add those unique lettered details to your snail mail, wedding paper goods, home decor, and more! The perfect crafty afternoon out!

Class includes 1.5 hours of instruction and demonstration, our beginner’s calligraphy kit (two nibs, black ink pot, 2 letter guides, tracing paper, and straight pen holder), and all materials to write on. Everything is yours to keep at the end of the workshop!

Feel free to come early, grab your seat, and purchase any food or drinks (food and drinks are available to purchase throughout the class, too!). Casanel Vineyards & Winery provides an array of crackers, cheeses, and other snacks. You are permitted to bring outside food such sandwiches or pizza (please, nothing with a strong odor), but no outside alcohol permitted. Class will start promptly at 2:00 PM! 

Class Expectations: Yes, lefties are welcome too! This class is encouraged for someone who has never taken a calligraphy class before. We teach the basics, and our expectation for you is to have ink flowing through your nib with enough confidence to be able to practice way beyond class. We love using tracing paper with our guides to help you build muscle memory and develop your own style!  If you have tried calligraphy out before, this class will be a great refresher and hopefully a chance to try some new supplies from our beginner kit that will reintroduce you to this lovely form of art!

A note on bringing guests 16 and under: We love to share this passion with kids. You are welcome to get a ticket for your child if you are comfortable with people around them having a drink or two. We ask that a ticketed adult accompany anyone under the age of 16 at all times.
